Cars & Colors Medallion Hunt Winner

Sheri Worth followed the clues below and located the Cars & Colors Medallion. For her efforts, Sheri was rewarded with a $500 cash prize sponsored by Property Management of Telluride!

First Medallion Clue:
To find the medallion you must search low and high
Pedestrians will often cast an eye.
The elevation is higher, but not much drier.

Second Medallion Clue:
It takes a village, and that’s for sure.
To find the medallion will be the cure.
You need to look where it all began, the spot is hard, but under hand.

Third Medallion Clue:
By now your search has brought you to the core.
If you look hard there, you will find the medallion for sure.
Think early history and the men who mined.
A wealth of riches were there to find.
It’s hammer time now, so get to it fast.
Be the first one there, or the medallion will be past.

Sheri exchanged the Medallion for her cash prize winnings at the Cars & Colors Alpenglow event at the Peaks Resort on Sunday afternoon. The Alpenglow event was sponsored by US Bank Private Client Reserve, Ascent and Jet Linx.

Sheri’s 1956 Mercedes was staged on the Concours during the Cars & Colors Festival.

2015 RESULTS

1st Annual (2015) Cars & Colors People’s Choice Award Winner!

John Fleming’s 1939 Lincoln Zephyr was the recipient of the 1st annual People’s Choice Award and we can’t thank him enough for bringing his stunning car all the way from Asher, Oklahoma!

2015 Million Dollar Highway Road Rally Winner!

The TFCC MDHRR sponsored by Porsche of Colorado Springs was held this past Saturday during the Festival. Contestants drove the nearly 240 miles, through some of Colorado’s great historic mining towns, in an attempt to match our Rally Master’s secret overall time. Randy Blazic of Litchfield, Arizona (and Telluride, CO) was within 6 minutes of the time to match and was awarded the $5000 cash prize. Randy also displayed his 1968 Atomic Orange Chevy Camaro at some of our venues. Thanks Randy!

Winner of the Cars & Colors 2015 Medallion Hunt!

Using only these 4 clues (he didn’t need the 5th clue!), Mike Johnson, of Wichita, KS, was able to find the TFCC Medallion:

Clue #1 You may look to the North, you may look to the South, you may look to the East, but the West is the best.

Clue #2 When the sun is out, and it gets hot, I get hot too. When it goes below freezing, I get cold. When it rains hard, I get wet.

Clue #3 I do not attend festivals, nor do I ski. But when you go to do both, I always will see.

Clue #4 If you are coming or going, I’ll be around. I’m never too far off the ground. I am firmly planted, both feet in their place. When you are waiting, I leave not a trace.

Mike was awarded the $5000 cash prize for his excellent detective work, finding the medallion at the base of a statue that watches every visitor pass the local school as they enter and exit town. He promptly turned around and donated the entire amount to the GraceLyn Louise Morris Charitable Foundation out of Wichita, KS. Congratulations Mike on being a great sleuth and a good guy!
